Wayne Clarkson
Born and raised in the Niagara Region, Wayne always enjoyed art, sketching, etc. First painting in oils, then moving on to watercolour, Wayne decided that he was most comfortable with acrylic paint on canvas. He took classes and studied on his own to learn as much as he could about the techniques of using this medium. He has, over the past seventeen years, developed his own unique style. Wayne uses photographs, sketches and imagination to develop each painting with special attention to detail. His work, which consists primarily of finely detailed wildlife, landscapes/seascapes, still life and flowers can be found hanging in homes all over Ontario and beyond. Mr. Clarkson lives in St. Catharines where he works on his art from a home studio.
