About the artist:

For the most part, a self-taught artist working in pastels, watercolours, acrylics and oils, has always had a passion for art.

Since retiring from the workforce, is now enjoying the challenges of open air painting, experimenting and developing new techniques. Has taken fine arts courses and workshops at Niagara College, Mohawk College, and The Niagara Pumphouse Visual Art Centre.

Eager to pass along her knowledge and enthusiasm for art has instructed private students, community groups, and volunteered in schools.

A resident of St. Catharines has exhibited her works at various venues in Niagara. Is an active member of the St. Catharines Art Association, the Parkway Artists’ Guild and the Niagara Pumphouse Visual Art Centre. Her primary interests lie in portraiture and life drawing. She enjoys regular outings with a group of local open air artists known as the Phkowees.
